Bentgate Mountaineering's 8th Annual Ski Season Kick-off Party is the biggest stoke fest of the season. Every year hundreds of dedicated skiers and riders from around the front range come out and celebrate the coming snow at the American Mountaineering Center.

The party is a fundraiser for the Colorado Avalanche Information Center and Friends of Berthoud Pass. Two organizations that are dedicated to Backcountry Safety. The party includes a ski expo with industry reps and backcountry organizations, live music, a huge raffle, silent auction, backcountry games, a local brewery beer garden, presenation by Alaskan Photographer Carl Battreall and food trucks.

Ski Expo (No tickets necessary) | 5:00pm - 7:45pm
The Ski Expo features our 30+ winter brands and their latest winter gear for 2018. There will also be a fewski resorts attending that will offer tickets. So far, Abasin and Monarch have confirmed. Stay tuned for more.

Silent Auction (No tickets necessary:
Bid on some gear and you could walk away with some gear at seriously discounted prices.

Tickets Needed for:

Tickets will be available at the event at these prices:
1 for $5 / 3 for $10 / 6 for $15 / 9 for $20.

Ticket Packs are available until noon on the day of the event and can be bought online and in-store. They include 10 Raffle Tickets, 3 Backcountry Games Tickets and 1 Drink Ticket.

Our raffle (and silent auction) include tons ofgreat gear, from skis and splitboards to avy gearand clothing. Items will be individually raffled off, giving you the option to pick exactly what you wantto win. After the initial raffle, we will have a "second round" raffle including everyones tickets.

Proceeds from tickets go to the Colorado Avalanche Information Center, Friends of Berthoud Pass,and the American Mountaineering Museum.

Backcountry Games | 5:00pm - 7:45pm
The backcountry games offer a chance to have some fun and win prizes. Games include the Backcountry Obstacle Challenge, Timed Beacon Search, Skin Transition, Splitboard Transition, Blind Shovel Assembly and Pull Up Contest.

Beer Garden | 5:00pm - 7:45pm
We‘ve got a great selection of local brews to enjoy at the party. Holidaily, Barrels & Bottles, Tommyknocker, Mountain Toad, Golden City Brewery and Avery Brewing have generously donatedto help us raise funds.

Live Music | 6:00pm - 7:30pm
Local favorite Mark Morris will be bringing some
friends to play bluegrass tunes.

American Mountaineering Museum Presentation
6:15pm - 7:15pm (In the Museum)
Alaskan photographerCarl Battreall will present images and stories from ten years exploring and photographing the entire 650 mile Alaska Range for his new book. Dangerous river crossings, curious bears and -40F temperatures are a fewof the experiences Carl will share along with images of mountains few have ever seen. Copies of his new book will be available.

A selection of beer from our sponsorswill be available in the museum. Proceeds benefit the AMM.

Ski Movies:
Classic ski movie clips will be played during the party near the Backcountry Games and food trucks.After the raffle (around 9pm), a short film from Salomon will be played in the main event hall (Not the theater). The movie documents the rise of the New Canadian Airforce. You do not need to purchasea ticket to watch the movie.

Food Trucks:
Basic Kneads Pizza, The Road Runnerand A Bit O’ Boston will be on site toserve us their delicious cuisine.
