LWV Jeffco to host school board candidates Oct. 17 in Golden

The public is invited to a Jefferson County School Board candidate forum on Tuesday Oct. 17, at Jefferson Unitarian Church, 14350 W. 32nd Ave., Golden, 80401 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Jeffco voters will elect three out of five members of the Board of Education to four-year terms on Nov. 7. The three seats open are in Districts 1, 2 and 5. Voters will elect candidates in all three districts choosing one candidate per director district. Board members serve in a voluntary capacity and receive no pay for their service. Ballots will be mailed out the week of Oct. 16.

Co-hosted by the League of Women Voters Jefferson County and Jefferson Unitarian Church, the forum is meant to inform voters about the candidates, who will discuss their roles and priorities for the coming year.

No campaigning will be allowed.
