Metro Denver Crime Stoppers is partnering with 9News (KUSA), Shred-it Inc. and metro area law enforcement to help prevent identity theft by holding an annual Shred-a-thon every May at six convenient locations throughout the Denver metro area.
Metro Denver Crime Stoppers is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that supports local law enforcement agencies by offering cash awards to individuals who can help solve crime and submit tips through our tip line 720.913.STOP (7867). All tipsters remain anonymous.
Shred-it, Inc. volunteers to shred up to three legal-sized boxes or kitchen sized trash bags full of sensitive documents in exchange for a voluntary donation to Metro Denver Crime Stoppers.
Shred-it, Inc. recycles 100% of the documents after shredding the paper in to thumbnail sized pieces. All Shred-it employees are licensed and bonded, and each location is supervised by area law enforcement officers.
