Parlours and Perennials, A Peek into the Past

SATURDAY JULY 28, 2018

Welcome and join us for our Historic Home and Garden Tour: Parlours and Perennials, A Peek into the Past. This year's event will feature several private homes, gardens, and other historic sites in the Georgetown-Silver Plume National Historic Landmark District; both towns a vital part of the rich mining history that rose from the gold and silver mines discovered in the 1800s. The Town of Georgetown is celebrating its sesquicentennial - and one of the featured homes is the Coulter House, where Judge John Coulter was instrumental in drafting this territorial charter. Silver Plume is a living ghost town, and once supported the richest silver mountains in the state. Some of our featured homes were built and belonged to the wealthy and professional families. Others, less grandiose, were built on the sweat and blood of the men who worked in and supported the mines. Each private home will showcase its unique architecture, restoration and renovation, as well as artifacts from a time long ago-and perhaps some spirits that still remain.

This event is recommended for guests 12-112 years old!

Advance tickets are available online through July 26 @ $35 each.

Membership option includes 1 free ticket to Parlours & Perennials, annual pass to NARM* and annual dues to HGI, all for only $100.
