Colorado’s Front Range is home to many landowners whose property may be vulnerable to periodic wildland fires. Aaron Betcher, Jeffco’s Fire Management Officer, will speak about the Firewise program and concept. This national program teaches people how to create defensible space, select fire resistant vegetation and how to harden your home against wildfires. Firewise encourages neighbors and community’s to work together and take action now to prevent losses and ensure public safety. Aaron will also talk about wildfire preparedness and help your family to plan ahead in the event of wildfire in your area.
