As a keen observer of the human condition, Rembrandt produced original prints covering a Shakespearean universe of subjects drawn from the world around him as well as the classical past. Showcasing more than 100 of Rembrandt’s celebrated etchings, drawings and paintings, this exclusive exhibition at the DAM commemorates the 350th anniversary of his death.
Timothy J. Standring, the Denver Art Museum’s Gates Family Foundation Curator, is coming to CAE to share what it takes to pull together “Rembrandt: Painter as Printmaker,” the subject of the Denver Art Museum’s world exclusive exhibition which opens September 15 in Denver and runs until January 6, 2019. For those who have heard Dr. Standring before, he always brings a sense of humor, great storytelling, and insightful details about curating an exhibit and the artist’s work.
The doors will open at 6 p.m.; program begins at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $20 for Members, $25 non-members
