Get wild this winter with an Adventure Obstacle run at 10,000 feet!
It’s time to don your best flannel shirts, strap on those bib snow-pants and wear your best fuzzy hat!
Abominable events are not for those warm weather loving folks; we are all about celebrating everything winter has to offer.
Our winter adventure run will have your heart racing and not just because of the 10,000 foot altitude, this fun yet challenge course will have you climbing over and crawling through obstacles, running in deep snow through scenic woods and fields and sledding down steep inclines.
New to the event this year is our first annual “Mountain Man” contest. Can you grow the best mountain man beard and represent with the best matching flannel?
Post run celebration to include hot chocolate and coffee, snacks, sledding, snowshoeing, and a weekend full of good ole fashioned winter fun!
So what are you waiting for? The snow is falling, get out there, start training and growing those beards!
Situated in Como, Colorado at over 10,000 feet, our winter adventure run is a unique way to get your obstacle course fix this winter. This 4ish mile off-road winter adventure run is sure to warm your blood. Expect steep inclines, deep snow, thick forests, sledding sections and other challenging winter themed obstacles to overcome. Yeti costumes are encouraged but beware, you may encounter the real thing while in the woods…
More obstacles, more snow, more “slunning”!
Last year obstacles included climbing over walls, hauling heavy logs, crawling through a 60 foot snow tunnel and sledding down hills.
Unfortunately we can’t add more oxygen so you better start doing some training at altitude now to be ready for the 10,200 foot elevation at Camp Como : )
