On Friday, August 2nd we wrap up our celebration of 100 Years of the Hamill House... in a beach towel with a 1960’s70’s style BEACH PARTY!
The Georgetown Society, (originally proposed in 1969 by the founders Ron Neely, Cynthia Wadsworth and John Calhoun to local businessmen Bob Gibbs, Bob Bolander and Wally Baehler) now Historic Georgetown, Inc., was incorporated on May 7, 1970. So, let’s party down …. and listen to some old-time rock n’ roll - “In the Summertime”, “Island Girl”, “American Pie”, “Honky Tonk Women”, “Proud Mary”, “Spirit in the Sky”, “Good Vibrations” and of course “Margaritaville” - and maybe play a little Beach Blanket Bingo or perhaps a Twist contest!
We’ll be serving dinner and drinks (cash bar) as we transform the Hamill House Lawn to a beach scene. 5:30-8:30pm.
Suggested attire: Hawaiian shirts, muumuus, flip flops, clamdiggers, bikinis if you dare….
