Join a naturalist from Evergreen Audubon for a leisurely and enjoyable summer plant walk.  We will be meeting at the parking lot at Lair O’ the Bear Open Space.  We will look for the summer wildflower blooms and edible and medicinal plants of the foothills.  The walk may include looking at native and non-native plants, lightly cover plant identification, uses for native plants and discuss relationships between plants, insects, birds and wildlife.

Previous botany knowledge is NOT required, only an interest in plants, trees and wildflowers.  Please bring proper walking shoes, weather appropriate clothing and a water bottle.  This walk is recommended for adults, but children with an interest in botany are welcome with an adult.

For any questions regarding our summer plant walks, please contact Nature Center Director Dina Baker at 303-330-0489 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
