All ages and abilities welcome!!  Join botanist/birder Chuck Aid for our Flowers of the Subalpine Walk on July 20, from 8:00 – 12:00 PM.  We will be visiting a portion of the Bear Creek Watershed up at about 9000 ft. Our pace will be leisurely, and we will work on plant identifications and characteristics of plant families and plant communities.

Globeflower (c) Chuck Aid

Bring adequate water, a snack, rain gear, and appropriate layers; and meet at the Evergreen Library at 8:00 AM.  We will carpool from here for the 40-minute drive up to the Camp Rock Campground, where there can be limited parking.  If you have a favorite field guide to the Rocky Mountain flora, please bring it along as well.

Stonecrop (c) Chuck Aid

These walks are for Evergreen Audubon members and their guests. Non-members won’t be turned away but will be encouraged to join Evergreen Audubon.  You must register here to attend this event.  If you are registering for more than one person, please enter each person separately.  Our event is filled when we have 12 registrants, as this helps prevent overbooking our walks. Thanks!  Once you have registered, I will be in touch with further details, and provide an opportunity for any potential questions.
