Women’s Equality Day 2019 will kick-off Colorado’s year-long commemoration of the national centennial of woman suffrage in 2020.

History Colorado will not only aim to highlight Colorado’s suffrage contributions but how the movement is also a story about race, class, citizenship, gender, immigration, values, and the intersections where those meet in our country’s history. To commemorate the 99th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment community members are invited for a Women’s Equality Day procession from the Center for Colorado Women’s History to the Colorado Capitol on August 26th, 2019.

Join us for breakfast and a procession to the Capitol steps on August 26th, 2019 where Governor Jared Polis will help us launch our statewide effort to commemorate the 19th Amendment and highlight Colorado's suffrage contributions in our national history.

A light breakfast will be served at the Center for Colorado Women's History at 8:30 AM and at 9:30 AM we will begin our procession to the Capitol steps. Our presenters will speak from the West Steps of the Capitol by 10:00 AM. Please RSVP by clicking the tickets option above or go to this link: h-co.org/EqualityDayRSVP
