There is a unique interaction between our gut bacteria (microbiome) and our state of mental health. It can be difficult to maintain a healthy microbiome in today’s environment of high stress, toxins, medications and the standard American diet. Learn how to achieve a healthier microbiome and how Serotonin is one of the most important neurotransmitters involved in mood. About your presenter: Lisa A. Brone, MD has been in medical practice more than 20 years. She has done extensive personal study in nutrition and integrative medicine. Lisa has always been interested in preventive medicine. She received a Doctorate in Medicine from The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Lisa is board certified in family medicine and fellowship trained in sports medicine. She has served as a team physician for both Virginia Tech University and The University of Colorado Boulder.
