Park County Re-2 School District PIT and DAC Informational Meeting

Coffee and light breakfast items will be available. If you have young kids not in school yet, please feel free to bring them.

This is just an informational meeting; no commitment is required.The Park County School District Re-2 wants and needs parent involvement in our schools! Your participation does matter. Just show up and get informed about both committees so you can decide if one is right for you.

What is PIT?
PIT (parent involvement team) is a group of people consisting of principals, parents, teachers, and community members who meet once a month during the school year to discuss school initiatives, events, school performance, etc. PIT provides information to the DAC (District Accountability Committee) from the school level who then takes those recommendations to the school board.

What is DAC?
DAC (District Accountability Committee) is also a group of people consisting of the same type of members as PIT. The Board of Education provides the DAC a list of work and
topics to discuss and address. Some of this work requires a recommendation to the Board,such as budget priorities. This committee also meets monthly.
