First Responder Appreciation Day in Bailey, Colorado
September 28th 11:00 - 2:00
We will be honoring our First Responders in Bailey on Saturday, September 28th with a barbecue. Food will be provided for the first responders and guests are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch for their families. The barbecue will be set up on Main Street in Bailey. Picnic tables and room for family activities are available at the Bailey Community Center (old Forest Service facility). There will be water balloons for a kid’s balloon toss and a corn hole game set up. Please feel free to bring your own activities, too.
Our first responders stand at the ready to risk their lives in protection of the citizens of our community. This effort to honor their service to community, started in Colorado, has grown to include 22 states who recognize First Responders on September 27th, each year. The goal is a National First Responder Appreciation Day setting aside September 27th (or a day close to the date) as a day where communities come together and honor their neighbors who have chosen a life of service.
Please join us on September 28th in downtown Bailey by coming and showing your appreciation for our own First Responders.
