Enjoy a free, family-friendly festival with the Town of Georgetown and Colorado Parks and Wildlife as you learn more about Bighorn Sheep and enjoy activities throughout the day!
The festival takes place every year on the 2nd Saturday of November.
Watch Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep on a nearby hillside. Spotting scopes will bring the action into clear view while you learn about Bighorn Sheep biology and behavior
Craft a Bighorn Sheep puppet with us! Bring your creativity; we’ll provide the supplies!
10:30am – 1:30pm John Tomay Memorial Library: 605 6th Street
Complimentary face painting for all children during the festival by Katharyn Grant of Face Painting Denver.
11:30am Strousse Park: Corner of 6th St and Rose St
Learn about Bighorn behavior with a familiar childhood dance and meet Elbert the Colorado Parks and Wildlife mascot.

Watchable Wildlife: Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep – The Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep is Colorado’s State Mammal and provides an excellent opportunity to view some of Colorado’s amazing wildlife!
Come learn about Bighorn Sheep biology and behavior and tips for watching these amazing animals during their annual rut (mating season).
Tours of the Museum are available from 10am – 4pm ($10/adult)
