November 14, 2019 – 7:00 PM-9:00 PM – Managing Backcountry Emergencies Until help Arrives

Managing Backcountry Injuries Until Help Arrives.

Even minor injuries in the backcountry can become major issues and having a basic knowledge of medical kits, key concepts and simple procedures can moderate the impact. Learn about the most common injuries and how to manage them as well as what to carry in your medical kit. Sprains, wounds, fractures, blisters and more severe injuries will be discussed. Basic wound care, splinting and evacuation indications will be demonstrated.

Dr. Greg Stiller has practiced for 20 years as an emergency medicine physician and is a 10-year member of Alpine Rescue Team.
