The mental health people from Beacon are going to attend the Community Resource Pop up at the Harris Park Community Center on Wed., Dec. 18. We asked them to be there from 3- 7 pm and we can arrange for them to meet with you, your group, me, my group, any interested group, etc. to help with planning Suicide Prevention. They will use a business model called Affinity Planning that will guide us through deciding what direction you wish to go in developing your group. They also will be advising us on the Zero Suicide model that the mental health system is supposedly using. Here's the web site for zerosuicide.sprc.org. I'm getting excited that in this model there would be components that would be useful for all of us in our particular roles, etc.
