Schedule for the Day: We ask you participate in both the prep session and the advocacy meetings from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please prepare a brief “elevator speech” in advance about who you are and where you work, and read the information we send prior to the event to make the most of the training.

10:00-11:30 a.m.
We will start the day with a workshop hosted at The Alliance Center to outline the process of public policy advocacy and learn how to effectively communicate environmental issues from a business perspective. You will learn best practices about speaking with legislators and receive content on current clean energy bills. The training will include a hands-on practice and refreshments.

12:30-4:30 p.m.
We will then take the free mall ride to Capitol Hill for the second part of the day and break out into small groups for a series of meetings with various legislators.
