Dig out the lederhosen and bring out the family for Keystone’s 8th Annual Oktoberfest taking place in the River Run Village on Saturday, September 5th. Start the day with the River Run Merchant Tent Sale along with the Das Bier Burner 5K Run and get primed for the festivities later in the day. The 5K benefits SOS Outreach and starts at noon. The Summit Concert Band kicks off the music at 1pm and Keystone's local favorite Those Austrian Guys take the stage at 2pm and play throughout the day until 6pm. There will be plenty of kid’s activities including free face painters, The Frosted Flamingo mobile art studio and the Bavarian Schuhplattlers , Polka Dancers along with a River Run Merchant tent sale to clear out the summer inventory. Kinderfest (German for Children’s Day) – Oktoberfest for the Whole Family! Bring your little ones to Oktoberfest and enjoy Kinderfest located in Buffalo Courtyard. Enjoy plenty of kid-centric activities, show the kids how to polka and treat the family to some authentic German food! Kids can enjoy free face painting, The Frosted Flamingo mobile art studio, jump in the Epic Mix Photo Booth and crawl through the Cave of Confusion. The Bavarian Schuhplattlers will be stopping by to teach kids how to polka. Sign your kids up at Main Sales for the Root Beer Hoisting contest taking place before the adults on the Main Stage at 5pm.
