What it is? IgG antibody testing is a blood test to indicate presence of antibodies against COVID-19. It may take up to 10 days after symptoms occur for the antibodies to reach a detectable level in the body. An IgG positive antibody result may suggest an immune response to a SARS-CoV-2 infection, but there is not yet a relationship between the detection of these antibodies and immunity to COVID-19. A positive test result is NOT a diagnosis of COVID-19.
Testing will occur 9:00 – 12:00 and 1:00 – 3:00.
In order to signup:
• Participants must contact MRC and be screened for eligibility. The screening tool is attached and it asks:
• Are you currently experiencing: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath. If they answer yes they are NOT eligible for the antibody test. You should refer them to Stride to get a swab test.
• Have you had any of the symptoms listed above? If no, they are eligible. If yes, has it been greater than 14 days since onset? If they answer no, they are NOT eligible for the antibody test.
• If the participant is eligible they need to complete the attached Admission Form PDF. They can complete this electronically or written.
• The testing is free to the participant but Stride does ask for insurance information. If a participant has insurance they will need to provide a copy of the front and back of their insurance card.
• If they do not have insurance, they just have to fill out the no insurance declaration
• Participants need to return completed admission forms with a copy of their ID and insurance card (as applicable) to MRC as soon as possible
• We can make copies of participant ID/insurance cards as needed.
• Participants can drop off completed paperwork in our drop box (located in the back of the building)
• Participants need to provide a phone number to receive a text message or an email address
• Once the completed paperwork is received and processed the participant will receive an appointment time on June 23rd.
• Participants will be given their appointment times via text (preferred) or email
• Participants will not be able to request a specific time
