Join Chuck Aid for our Third-Saturday Bird Walk on Aug 15, from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM – A LONG, OFF-TRAIL HIKE. We will begin the day at over 12,000 ft, drop into the upper reaches of a valley – down to around 11,000 ft, and eventually climb back out, hiking about three miles. This is an excellent area to see some great high-elevation birds, but, by necessity, it requires a reasonable amount of fitness and appropriate gear.
This will be a full day, but a rewarding one. Bring adequate water (one water bottle may not be enough!), a snack, lunch, rain gear, (snow gear?), sun-block, and appropriate layers; and meet at the Bergen Park-and-Ride at 6:00 AM.
These walks are for Evergreen Audubon members and their guests. Non-members won’t be turned away but will be encouraged to join Evergreen Audubon. You must register here to attend this event. If you are registering for more than one person, please enter each person separately. Our event is filled when we have 10 registrants, as this helps prevent us from overbooking our walks. Thanks!
