Wildfire is a risk across Colorado where dry seasons and dry vegetation, human error, or lightning strikes have come together to start and fuel devastating forest fires. Forestry management and wildfire mitigation efforts can help reduce the risk of a wildfire spreading.  Having a wildfire plan can also mitigate the danger to people and livestock.
