The American Heart Association (AHA), Heartsaver CPR/AED course is designed to teach people the basic skills of CPR and how to operate an AED. Students will receive instruction in the following areas:
Heartsaver CPR/AED Certification $25:
For anyone who wants to learn CPR and AED, is not a healthcare provider, and lives or works in the Evergreen Fire Protection District. This includes mandatory text book, test, & certification card (e-card) for $25. Certification is good for 2 years. (Certification is $41.00 if you don’t live or work in the district.) Minimum age for certification is 12 years.
2021 CPR/AED Schedule:
Classes will be held on the 3rd Wednesday from 5 – 9 pm and the 3rd Saturday from 9am to 1 pm from April through November in 2021. Class Schedule for 2021 Link
Class size will be limited to a maximum of 8 students at this time to enable the required distancing of students in the classroom. A mask is required and may be removed during the hands on training for rescue breathing.
All scheduled classes will be held at the EFR administration/ training facility, Room A located at: 1802 Bergen Parkway, Evergreen, CO. 80439
Parents must sign a waiver for their K-12 children to participate in the CPR program. AHA Heartsaver Program for K-12 Student Waiver
Off site training may be available upon request. You’ll need to provide us with a suitable training area, TV and a DVD player. Off site training fee will be $90 per student. All EFR & EPAD instructors are certified through the American Heart Association.
Healthcare provider classes are not scheduled regularly, but can be arranged to meet your personal needs at our place or yours. This course is intended for people who provide health care in a professional setting such as doctors, nurses, in hospital technicians, and first responders (fire fighters, EMS personnel, etc). Students of this course will receive instruction in the following areas:
The fee for HCP is $55.00 per person, includes mandatory textbook. (Minimum of 4 students)
All of our CPR classes meet current national and state requirements. Certification is good for 2 years.
Off site training may be available upon request. You’ll need to provide us with a suitable training area,
TV and a DVD player. Fee for off-site training is $75 per student (minimum of 4 students)All EFR & EPAD instructors are certified through the American Heart Association.
EFR can provide Skills Evaluation for online Heartsaver CPR/AED, First Aid, and Heart Code BLS for Healthcare Provider Courses. You can complete most of the AHA courses you need online at your convenience. For more information on online courses visit: www.onlineaha.org . When finished with the online portion of the class, print out the completion certificate and bring it with you for your skills check off. First Aid Classes may be scheduled by making special arrangements with the CPR coordinator. (Minimum of 4 students) The cost of this class is $61.00 per student. However, please consider the online option to get your Heartsaver First Aid course (below). The online class is $31.00, and then you will pay $22.00 for your certification card, due at the time of the skills evaluation with EFR. The online Heartsaver First Aid Class is the most economical and often times the most convenient option for the first aid class.
