“How to Support a Youth Who Has Experienced Trauma” is hosted by Resilience1220, an organization that provides free counseling to youth ages 12 to 20 in the mountain communities west of Denver. The presentation is part of the group’s “Conversations & Connections” speaker series.

Trauma is an experience or event that impacts one's mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing such that it is difficult to cope and move forward in one's life. This talk will help define trauma and ways to connect with, support and provide resources for someone who has had a traumatic experience.

Presenter Art Ginley is a Gestalt and Contemplative therapist with a focus on relationships, attachment, chronic illness and complex trauma. He has a background in multicultural issues and working with severe and persistent mental health issues.

The presentation is free, but registration is required in order to receive the Zoom link. Register at Resilience1220.org.
