DETAILS: First come, first serve until we sell out. Pay with cash, check, or credit card. Masks appreciated to keep our volunteers safe.

Native Plants! We will have a variety of native ornamentals, grasses, and shrubs for your mountain yard and garden. Prices range from $10-$20 depending on sizes. Donations appreciated.  8 plant limit per shopper.

Why go native? When properly sited, natives can be ideal since they are pre-adapted to our mountain climate, soils, and other environmental conditions. With natives you can:

  • increase your garden’s endurance by growing tougher plants that are able to survive with less care and incur less hail damage
  • save money from reduced watering, less soil amending, and decreased pesticide and fertilizer use
  • provide food and shelter for native wildlife and pollinators
  • enhance your natural ecosystems and sense of place
  • contribute to Colorado’s unique biodiversity

Portable Raised Garden Beds - The units are upcycled pallet collars made with heat-treated lumber that has not been chemically treated. When set up each garden bed unit measures approx. 45” long x 30” wide x 8” deep. They are pre-assembled and can fold down flat when not in use (when folded flat the length is approximately 6' 6").

You can stack units (usually 2-3) to achieve the appropriate root depth needed for your plants. It takes approximately 10 cubic feet of soil to fill each unit. To increase longevity and heat absorption, we recommend painting/staining the garden units a dark color - the units are not pre-painted.

Prices:  1 unit = $20  |  2 units = $40  |  3 units = $50  |  4 units = $70  |  5 units = $90  |  6 units = $100

Why use Raised Garden Beds?  Mountain gardening can be quite challenging, especially with our rocky ground. Raised garden beds allow you to set up in the ideal location and have more control of the soil that you use. Get your stackable raised garden beds to set up your summer garden!

Ask our Master Gardeners your questions while you're at the sale. Browse and take CSU Factsheets on native plants, and other yard and garden topics.
