Starting at an elevation of 9,915’ and topping out at 13,183’ the South Park Marathon and Half are among the highest in Colorado. Marathoners run from the South Park Historical District all the way to the top of The Peerless Mine. Witness first hand the terrain that prospectors experienced during the great Colorado Gold Rush. Oxygen is not required to enjoy the raging creeks, historic mines, and the scramble above tree line after all. Half marathoners can enjoy HPRS’ fastest half, sprinkled with deceptive uphills and downhills. We’ll have you questioning the elevation map in your pocket. This race is a good introduction to what HPRS is all about, overcoming #Adversity, and growing from the experience.
