Location: Red Rocks Entrance 1 (parking on the west side of 93) near 17601 W Alameda Pkwy, Morrison, CO 80465 Background: Volunteers will perform trail maintenance on Dakota Ridge trail north of the Alameda Cut. We will use a variety of tools to create advanced bike-optimized features, Improve the visitor experience, and ensure sustainability via improved water drainage. IF YOU DO NOT BRING A FACEMASK YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO VOLUNTEER. Please only handle tools while wearing gloves. Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and a limited supply of hand sanitizer will be supplied by the trail leaders. REQUIREMENTS: Wear a mask and a back up mask Masks MUST be worn when volunteers cannot separate themselves by more than 20ft Bring hand sanitizer Social distance yourself from your fellow volunteer Be in good physical condition Be able to use a variety of tools, including shovels, picks and rakes Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian Be prepared for numerous and changing environmental conditions WHAT TO BRING & WEAR: Closed-toe, sturdy shoes are required. No open-toed shoes or sandals of any kind will be allowed. Long pants (we will be working in rattle snake habitat) Work gloves Plenty of water (2 quarts minimum) Please bring your own lunch and snacks, meals will NOT be provided Raingear
