Buena Vista, Colorado:  During the second week of August, Colorado's largest outdoor gem & mineral show, The Contin-Tail, will be going on in Buena Vista, Colorado.  Each year over 100 vendors of gems, minerals, jewelry, fossils, & more set up in the beautiful valley of Buena Vista, Colorado, at the Buena Vista Rodeo Grounds to sell their wares over four days.  This year the show will run from August 12-15th, 2021, and is open loosely from 9 am to 6 pm each day. 

Not only do the individual vendors have beautiful gems, minerals, fossils, handmade jewelry, & more but they have often real-time "old world" knowledge of their inventory.  Many of the vendors are miners & artisans who sell what they produce & find!  It is an excellent way to support small businesses!  One could spend an entire day just swapping stories with a single vendor.   

Be sure not to miss out on all the fun this year and come out to the show.  Parking and admission at the show are always free.  This is a very family-friendly & educational outdoor event.  There will be food and beverages available by a mobile food vendor and the scenery is phenomenal!

The Buena Vista Contin-Tail Gem, Mineral, & Fossil Show has been held annually for over 30 years at the Buena Vista Rodeo Grounds off Gregg Dr. in Buena Vista, Colorado.  The show hosts over 100 vendors each year, making it the largest outdoor gem & mineral show in Colorado and possibly the country.
