Would you like your child to learn the rules of the road for bicyclists and some bike maintenance tips? Do you know if you have to stop at a red light if you are on a bike? Is it lawful to ride two abreast on the open road? You and your child should attend the CBE Bike Rodeo, which will take place on Sunday, July 25th from 10am-12 noon, if you would like to learn the answers to these questions and more. Biking can be a great activity done solo or with others and can be very safe if done obeying the rules of the road. The activity can provide many hours of exercise and recreation which can have positive benefits for health and mental function.
The rodeo will take place in the parking lot of Congregation Beth Evergreen. The program will feature the rules that apply to bikers in Colorado. Attendees will learn the laws pertaining to bikers and the hand signals that can keep one safe on the open road. Other strategies for safe biking will be discussed. General bike maintenance and repair will be addressed. At the conclusion of the program, attendees will have the opportunity to ride through a bike course and obtain a certificate of completion.
