Join us at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office’s annual Safety in Faith Summit.
The summit is 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 23rd, at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds; check-in and continental breakfast begin at 8:00 a.m. We hope you will consider attending as well as inviting administrators, safety team members, and interested volunteers from your house of worship to join us for a great day of learning and sharing. Registration is required for meal planning.
This year’s featured speakers include:
-Tina Lewis Rowe, Author of A Preparation Guide for the Assessment Center Method
-Phil Niedringhaus, Regional Security Advisor with Colorado Secure Community Network
-Reverend Susan Otey with First United Methodist Church of Golden
-Linda Berringer with Colorado Safety Parking
-Professor Matjaz Bren with Colorado School of Mines
-Mark Bybee, Crime Prevention Deputy with Jefferson County Sheriff's Office
Opportunities to meet with representatives from our partner agencies will also be available during the summit.

-Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, a registration list will be provided for check-in and name tags
-Can I register for more than one person?
Yes, but you can only register for one ticket per order. However, you may use the same email for multiple orders. We need individual names for registration check-in and to print name tags for the day of the event.
-Do I have to belong to a faith-based organization to attend?
No. This is a public event and open to anyone that has an interest in learning how to provide safety and security in a building-gathering setting.
