On Saturday, May 28th COFA will host its Kids and Adult Archery Clinic and Target Shoot
COFA will be having its Kids and Adults archery clinic on Saturday, May 28th, at the Green Barn. Kids archery from 9:00 to 11:00 and the adults from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The address is 8660 South Fairall Road, Morrison, CO 80465.

In this archery clinic, you will learn how to improve your shooting skills, you will learn the basics and history of archery. This class is for the beginner and experienced shooter. If you don't own a bow, COFA will provide bows.
Beginning adults will learn archery skills and techniques on: Proper stance. Line up, so your feet are in a line towards the middle of the target. Put the arrow in the bow. Put the arrow on the arrow rest, which is part of the bow. Grip the string. Typically, three fingers are used to hold the string. Draw the bow, aim, and release.
We at COFA get asked, what's a good age for my kids to start archery? Consider these factors before introducing your child to archery. If you want to get your child in a program, COFA recommends starting at the age of 8. Why? by the time kids are 8 years old they usually have enough strength to safely handle a beginner's bow.
This will be a hands-on class, beginner adults will learn how to use a bow, how to have fun, and apply their newly learned skills to hit an archery target. We get a lot of adults who would like to try shooting a bow to see what it's like, come on out and give it a try.
COFA is an All-Volunteer organization and is a designated 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Your tax-deductible suggested donation of $10 goes toward training materials/equipment and is greatly appreciated!
