Stop in at the trailhead anytime between 8 and 10 a.m. to learn about the geology of North Table Mountain and the land use changes that occurred as it went from quarry to JCOS park. Then, take a leisurely hike up North Table Mountain on your own to observe the 63-65 million year old lava flows that comprise part of the mountain.
The program will take place at the North Table Mountain West Trailhead at 4788 Highway 93 Golden, CO 80403.
