Restore a badly eroded former offroad vehicle site
Volunteers will seed, mulch and install erosion control structures and fabric to help repair a badly eroded hill climb site at the end of a popular offroad vehicle area near Tarryall, CO.
China Wall is a popular off-highway vehicle (OHV) area in southern Park County. Portions have been closed by the US Forest Service for restoration. The badly eroded hill climb that volunteers will restore was recently adopted by the Colorado Fourwheelers Club who has fully fenced off the area for restoration. WRV volunteers together with Fourwheelers Club members will help restore vegetation and begin to reverse the damage to this site. The hill climb is directly above Tarryall Creek and our work will help prevent further erosion and sedimentation into the creek.
