Tour of Paris Mill/Buckskin Joe

Meet at McGraw Park in Bailey at 9 am or Park County Courthouse in Fairplay at 10 am.  

On the way to Paris Mill, we will be making a couple of stops at the town site of the 1^st Park County seat, Buckskin Joe.  The gulch is one of Park County's most productive mining districts. We'll learn about the legend of Silverheels and Horace and Augustus Tabor, back in 1861.

The road up Buckskin Gulch is a rough dirt road, but passable with most cars.  Come prepared for the ever changing Colorado weather, and don't forget your camera and a sack lunch!  Should be a great tour!
