Linda Kirkpatrick, community activist, and Mary Pat DeWald, RN, are partnering on an informative presentation entitled Straight Talk on Death and Dying -- Wed., Aug. 17, 4-6 pm, at the Fire Admin Bldg, 1802 Bergen Parkway in Bergen Park, Evergreen, Colorado.

The 2-hr program will address the use of widely accepted documents such as The Five Wishes, Medical Durable Power of Attorney (MDPOA) and Medical Orders Scope of Treatment (MOST} form. We will talk about palliative care, hospice services and End of Life Doulas while also focusing on Medical Aid in Dying (MAID) and MAID legislation. Most of all, it will encourage communication with loved ones before the time comes.
