From Jon Carver: I've learned a lot from the last couple of Halloween parties. 1st of all the food, it has to be good, so this year I'm smoking brisket & pork myself, slow & low for lots of hours with my own special secret recipe & lots of fixins to go with (could use some help with this if you feel inclined).2nd, we need more fun stuff for the kiddies, so we are starting way earlier in the day (11am) with lots of really cool games & prizes for the little ones, along with a spaghetti lunch & cookies & candy of course (could also use help & ideas with this). 3rd, everybody loves prizes, so once again, we have 2 separate vacation packages good for a weeks lodging for 2 at destinations all over the world, pretty cool huh! Tons of other cool prizes as well. 4th, everybody loves music, so we have booked 3 awesome bands this year to get us shakin' our booties. So with the help of the American Legion Riders and other volunteers, this is going to truly be the party of the year. This year's profits, if there are any (lots of dollars are going into this party), are going to the No Veterans Cold initiative, this will buy coats, gloves, socks, & other gear, as well as firewood & funds for gas & electric heating bills for veterans who are struggling this winter (this is what it is really all about). So please please please come join the party, it is going to be way better this year, I promise.
Love ya South Park
