Bailey Community Meeting on Water Safety

Park County, CO - Park County and Colorado Department of Public Health and the Environment (CDPHE) will host a public meeting for Bailey residents on February 29, 2024 from 5:30 – 7 PM at the Platte Canyon Fire Station (and zoom) in order to discuss the results and next steps of testing for PFAS in groundwater in the Burland Ranchettes area. Registration isn’t required but encouraged. Use this link to RSVP today!  

The meeting will focus on:

  • How chemicals affect well water quality.
  • Best practices for well testing.
  • Effective filter options.
  • Results from recent private well sampling in Bailey.

Additionally, residents will learn about a new pilot project from CDPHE that provides free PFAS well testing and water filters to eligible households.
