History Jeffco is pleased to partner with Jefferson County Historical Commission and Colorado Preservation, Inc through a State Historic Fund grant to create and install faux window panels on the endangered South Platte Hotel.

We will be preparing 27 window and door panels using easy-to-follow, uniform steps throughout the process. We anticipate the completed panels will be installed in May or June. The workshop will involve space protection and panel prep/marking, taping, painting and drying. All supplies and materials will be on hand, but participants should plan to arrive in work clothes that might be able to withstand a splash or two of stray paint. Bring work gloves if you prefer.

Come prepared for a fun community project that will result in a new look for the exterior of the Hotel!

Refreshments and burrito bar luncheon will be provided. Bring a dessert to share!
