September 22nd, 2024
Meet at 10 a.m. at McGraw Park or 10:30 a.m. in Grant
A 4-wheel drive with good clearance is required on this trip in order to make the climb.
We plan to visit numerous sites on our Geneva Basin adventure: Tumbling River Ranch, the Scott Gomer waterfall, Burning Bear stone age Indian campground, Smelter Gulch, the mining town of Timberline, Geneva Creek Iron Fens, Geneva Park (the site where PCHS's DVD 'The Last Cattle Drive" ends) & more!
We will meet at McGraw Memorial Park in Bailey at 10 a.m. (located at the bottom of Crow Hill at the intersection of Highway 285 & County Road 68, just to the east of Smiling Pig Restaurant & behind Rosalie's Market) and those traveling from the South Park area in Grant at approximately 10:30 a.m. on the NE corner of Hwy. 285 & Guanella Pass Road (across from the liquor store).
Bring a sack lunch and join us in living Park County history!
