Join us for a Drug Take Back event on Saturday, April 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The JCSO is once again partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for National Prescription Drug
#TakeBackDay. We will be collecting expired or unused medication free of charge. This one-day event aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the public about preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction.
The DEA has 3 locations:
- Sheriff’s Office, 200 Jefferson County Parkway, Golden (Located in the NW visitors' parking lot off Weimer and 10th)
- Dakota Ridge High School, West Parking Lot, 13399 West Coal Mine Avenue, Littleton (Located in the main parking lot near the stop light)
- Marshdale Elementary School, Round-About, 26663 N Turkey Creek Road, Evergreen
ONLY prescription and over-the-counter solid dosage medications (tablets and capsules) are accepted. NO needles or aerosols will be taken.
The prescription labels should be removed from the original containers and the medications should be placed in a plastic bag before dropping off.
Location Marshdale Elementary School, Round-About, 26663 N Turkey Creek Road, Evergreen, CO 80439
