Join us for a casual mountain bike ride 9/21 to enjoy the fall foliage. 3, 7, & 11 mile options. Thompson Park start on the USFS Tie Hack Trail. $25, $15 for members.
A ‘Poker Ride’ event invites participants to ride along a bike route, picking up 5 playing cards at specific stops. Whoever has the best or worst poker hand and wins cash prizes. Three routes offer options for all abilities covering 3, 7 or 11 miles, ranging from easy to moderate technical levels. The routes offer wonderful views, beautiful forests and golden aspen trees. This is intended as a social relaxing ride rather than a race. It is also a fundraiser for MRHI's area conservation and education efforts.
Location: Thompson Park - USFS Tie Hack Trail
Please note - there are 2 different entrances to the Tie Hack Trail. For our event, take PCR 18 (off Hwy 285) and turn right into the Foxtail Subdivision. Follow brown forest service signs to Thompson Park.
Registration: 10 am.
10:30 am start
Long-course, 11 miles, technical ride
Short-course, either 3-4 (easy) or 7 miles (medium)
After the ride a BBQ will be held offering meat and veggie options at a private home near the trailhead.
