Park County has announced it will hold community slash chipping days on October 4 and 5, 2025 from 9am-5pm with locations in Bailey, Fairplay, and Lake George. Max length of slash is 6 feet, max diameter is 8 inches. Stumps, root, lumber, ties, household trash, metals, weed grasses, bags of pinecones, bark, pine needles, or contractor loads will not be accepted.

Slash sites are as follows:

Bailey – Park County Search and Rescue, 59961 US Hwy 285
Fairplay – Park County Road and Bridge, 1246 Co Rd 16
Lake George – Park County Road and Bridge, 39141 Highway 24
