From Ann Imse: A great big thank you to LAM Tree Service and its crew for donating a full day of time and equipment to making us safer when we need to evacuate on Hwy 73! They did a super job, thinning the large conifers for 30 feet from the side of the road along the west side of Highway 73 south of Marshdale.
Conifer Rotary organized this and is running a community volunteer day on Saturday to finish the east side, which is not as tough. Join us! Then we’ll be all done from US 285 all the way to Marshdale with everything we can get done!
Every single person on the west side of 73 and many on the east side can only get out on 73. This is a critical evacuation route that is likely to be jammed when the flames come through.
And thank you to all the patient drivers on 73 today, who had to put up with three projects by various entities.
