Join us to build your very own mini terrarium! We'll have jars, containers, plants, and all the supplies you need — just bring yourself (and your creativity).
Have a jar you love at home? Feel free to BYOJ (bring your own jar!) and make it uniquely yours.
Terrariums are a great alternative to larger houseplants for people who want plant care without a lot of maintenance, or for small living spaces like apartments and desks!
Many people find the slow, repetitive act of tending a small green space — checking on it, misting it — has a grounding, meditative quality. AND, studies on indoor plant care have found reduced physiological stress markers (such as blood pressure and cortisol) during and after plant-related tasks. Layering soil, tucking in moss, watching a tiny ecosystem take shape.... sounds pretty relaxing to us! No experience needed, and all materials are provided. A relaxing, hands-on way to create something living and beautiful.
