Town Halls
Community town halls offer an opportunity for commissioners to provide policy updates, discuss key topics alongside subject matter experts and respond directly to questions from community members.
The Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners is bringing back an in‑person town hall for the third quarter of 2026. While virtual town halls often reach more people, community members have expressed a desire for an in‑person option.
Upcoming Town Hall
The next town hall will take place at the West Metro Training Center, located at 3535 S. Kipling Street in Lakewood, beginning at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9.
This particular discussion will focus on wildfire preparedness and the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) code changes. Subject matter experts from West Metro Fire Department, Jeffco Sustainability, Building Safety and Planning and Zoning will be on hand to answer questions.
To accommodate the community's request for an in-person option, while also recognizing the facility’s capacity limits, the commissioners have opted to host an in-person town hall with a virtual option.
Please register for the town hall and submit your questions before the event to help us ensure adequate space accommodations and prepare for a productive discussion.
