Don't let your Halloween jack-o'-lanterns rot on the porch or rot in a landfill—bring them out to smash, fling, and turn into nutrient-rich compost for our community!

Join us for the Annual Pumpkin Smash & Festival on Saturday, November 7 at 12:00 PM at the Idaho Springs Sports & Events Complex.

Every year, millions of pounds of pumpkins end up in landfills, where they release harmful greenhouse gases as they break down. We’re changing that right here in Idaho Springs! Bring your post-Halloween pumpkins and give them a grand, glorious send-off while helping our local environment.

Admission: Free! (Bring your pumpkins!)

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Smash Zone: Multiple ways to obliterate your pumpkin! Bring your own or use ours.
Composting Station: Learn how your smashed pumpkins get transformed into local soil nutrients instead of trash.
Festival Fun: Local food trucks, seasonal drinks, family-friendly games, and live community entertainment!
Eco-Education: Quick, fun tips on zero-waste living and local green initiatives.
