Join the Park County Historical Society on Saturday, October 12th for dinner and a history presentation at the Shepherd of the Rockies Lutheran Church in Bailey. John Redmond will portray "Father Dyer". John Lewis Dyer answered the call to ministry in middle age. He journeyed to Colorado in 1859, walking most of the way, to fulfill a life-long desire to see Pikes Peak. He was appointed an itinerant preacher to the mining camps in what are now Lake, Summit, and Park counties.
