Colorado unlike most of the other western states does not have a statewide water plan. Fortunately this will be changed in 2015 looking at the needs projected for 2050 after the nine Colorado river basins submit there input to the plan this July. If you would like to have a voice in this process there is a public comments meeting on Wednesday 3/19 3:30- 7 pm at the Fairplay Community Center. Sorry I didn't get to pick the time but I will be providing some local food to encourage attendance. Currently the way water is provided to new develop in the metro areas is to strip the water off exiting agriculture (Buy and Dry) and if this continues agriculture will disappear in Colorado, sound familiar (South Park).
