Come join the Friends of Dinosaur Ridge and the Colorado Neurological Institute as we celebrate Bicycles and Dinosaurs on Saturday, April 12th, 10am-2pm for a day of cycling, geology, and fossil fun at Dinosaur Ridge.
Free hands-on activities such as gold panning, fossil sifting, and dinosaur track painting will be available at the Visitor Center! Learn about local bicycle trails from Bike Jeffco. Recycle Bicycles and Bicycles for Humanity Colorado will be on hand to accept gently used bicycle donations (receive a free coupon for a guided Dinosaur Ridge tour for your bicycle donation). Rocky Mountain MS Center, Macaroni Kids, Assisted Cycling Tours, Yellow Scene Magazine, Donor Alliance and Pedaling for Parkinson's will also be here. Do you have an unknown fossil? WIPS Founders Symposium will identify fossils. West Metro Fire Rescue will be here from 11am-12noon with a fire truck.
On the trail, guides will explain the geology and fossils along Dinosaur Ridge. Biking or hiking the trail is free or take the shuttle for $4 per person, 3 and under ride free.
