The Elevation 5K Run/Walk and Family Dash (Saturday, July 12 at 8:00 AM) in Conifer, CO is a fundraiser for LIGHTS and Athletic Field Improvements at Conifer High School. These improvements will support our CHS athletes, the marching band, numerous area youth athletic groups, CHS students in general, and the entire Conifer community. We intend that these improvements will provide for our youth and help create a greater sense of togetherness in our mountain community.

Think "Friday Night Lights".

This course celebrates the Conifer Trails. The trail takes you around the scenic Aspen Park neighborhoods of Conifer (average Elevation 8100 feet!)

CANNON START - Runners, then Walkers, Families with strollers or kids or bikes, Dog walkers (shortened 2 mile course available)

CONIFER IS JUST A SHORT SCENIC DRIVE FROM DENVER!

At registration, tell us what organized school or youth sport/activity you are running for. The organization with the greatest response will receive a donation. Last year it was WJE Girls on the Run!  

Packet Pickup:

Race packets can be picked up at the On-site Registration area the day of the race. (West Jeff Elementary School lower playground lot)

Post Race Activities:

This race will be followed by the Conifer Elevation Celebration, a free, all day event providing entertainment by several local bands, a variety of food, gift vendors and artisans. Awards:

Awards given to top male & female in the following age categories: 0-7, 8-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.  A pottery item from Conifer High School student will be given with awards.  Awards will be presented on the Main Elevation Celebration Stage. A few randon Bib prizes will be announced as well, so stick around and enjoy the fun.

Course Description:

This course takes you on a scenic loop around the North and South Aspen Park neighborhoods of Conifer. Beginning on the north side of Hwy 285 you will take the new CONIFER TRAIL clockwise along under and over Hwy 285, up and down hills, and along many dirt roads along the way. Walkers and families have the option of a shortened 2 mile course.

Directions to Start:

From C470 take Hwy 285 South for 13 miles to reach Conifer. Exit onto Barkley Road. From Evergreen follow Hwy 73 South to Barkley Road in Conifer. Signs will direct you to parking at West Jeff Elementary and Conifer Community Church. The starting line will from the WJE Elementary play lot (south end of Sutton Street.)

FREE Parking is available at Conifer Community Church and at the West Jefferson Elementary School.
